The Great Lakes Great Read initiative is supported by an Ideas to Action grant from WiLs. Wisconsin Sea Grant and the University of Wisconsin Water Resources Institute support the Wisconsin Water Library.

​Books can be placed on hold on Infosoup or Libby as an eBook and Hoopla as an eAudiobook. Both Kewaunee and Algoma Libraries will have copies available to borrow as well if you would like to read before the event.

  • Bring in your own scarecrow creation to display on the grass in front of the library. You will need to supply whatever you will be displaying it on.
  • You are required to set up your own scarecrow and register it during the week of Oct 11-16.
  • Voting will be the week of Oct 18-Oct 30.
  • Winners will be announced at the library and on Facebook.
  • You must pick up scarecrows during the week of Nov 1-6. After that, they will be disposed of.

The Kewaunee Public Library wants to hear from you! Join us for a discussion about our library and how we can better serve the Spanish language community.

During this 60-minute chat (in the grade school library), staff from the Kewaunee Public Library will share what the public library has to offer to the community. In addition, we want your input on what materials should be added to the Spanish language collection to better meet your needs and the needs of your family. Spanish language interpreters will be available.


This event is offered as part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) in collaboration with the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
